Max Bruch, Romanze in F for viola and orchestra, Op. 85 (1911). DEMO: the solo line played on a sampled solo viola with the accompaniment, full tempo - to hear the tune. Two bars of clicks first. The solo part scrolls with a playhead: every note fingered, positions marked at each shift, William Primrose's colour signs (red = half step between adjoining fingers, green = whole-tone 1-2-3-4 frame, blue arch = same finger to the next string a half step off the fifth, arrow back/forward). Clefs as in the Schott 1911 part; rehearsal letters A-I as in the orchestra parts. Orchestra reduced to strings from the Schott full score; VPO samples.
