Air (J. S. Bach, Orchestral Suite No. 3, BWV 1068, "Air on the G String") — arranged for violin and viola (D major, 4/4, quarter = 64 with Bach's note values doubled, about four and three-quarter minutes). Arranged 2026-10-14 for Graham (viola) and a beginner violin friend, for Classical Jams Austin. Bach's own form, A A B B, written out. The first time through each half, the violin sings the tune with the ornaments reduced to their core notes (first position, A and E strings only) over Bach's famous walking bass with its octave leaps; on the repeats the viola sings Bach's full ornamented melody an octave down while the violin holds glowing long notes above it, and the bass picks up Bach's own inner viola notes as double stops. Draft v1 — verdict pending.
